A Sweet Stop in Denver: My Dochi Matcha Crunch Donut Review On a brief layover in Denver, I made a quick trip to the RINO District for a nostalgic and delicious stop at Dochi Donuts, a mochi donut shop I first learned about when they launched in the city a few years ago. Back then, Dochi was making waves, having already found success in other locations, and I was thrilled to see them expand to Denver. For this visit, I decided to try their Macha Crunch Donut. This donut is a visual and textural delight: crafted from a series of mochi-like dough balls, it features a crisp, golden exterior and a soft, slightly chewy inside. Its unique structure, resembling a baby’s chew toy, adds to the fun of eating it, as you can easily pull apart each “ball” for a bite-sized treat. The Macha frosting was smooth, sweet, and balanced, while the topping of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal added a satisfying crunch with a touch of sugary cinnamon goodness. The milk chocolate drizzle provided a delightful contrast to the Macha, enhancing the overall flavor profile. I gave the Macha Crunch Dochi donut an 8.7 rating, appreciating the creativity and execution of this small business. If you’re in Denver or anywhere with a Dochi location, this is a must-try treat. I’d love to see Dochi expand to more cities across the country—this is a sweet experience everyone should enjoy!
