Description

If you’re looking for that perfect balance of authentic Thai flavors right here in Tulum, Golden Cham Thai delivers with their classic Pad Thai. I first stumbled upon this spot early on in my Tulum adventure, and it’s one of those places I keep coming back to, especially with friends from the Tulum Dinner Club—a fantastic group led by Gigi that brings together a rotating crew of 30+ people to explore the best local eats and make new connections. Now, let’s get into the dish. The Pad Thai here is a real winner, earning an 8.8 in my book. The chicken is a standout—crispy on the edges, yet light and tender on the inside. The noodles are done just right, with that delightful Thai balance of sweet and savory. Every bite gives you that subtle sweetness, perfectly contrasted with the light saltiness of the sauce. Adding to the freshness, the bean sprouts are crispy and pack a nice crunch that rounds out each mouthful. While I’d love a richer peanut sauce and a bit more of a “wow” factor to make it unforgettable, this Pad Thai still satisfies as a well-executed, traditional Thai dish that’s not overly spicy—a comforting bowl that’s both hearty and familiar. As for location, Golden Cham Thai sits conveniently just off Tulum’s main road but outside the bustling tourist center, giving it an easygoing vibe without the heavy crowds. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed or crowded. If you’re in Tulum, especially with a crew like the Tulum Dinner Club, make sure to add this spot to your list! Location: Golden Cham Thai 📍 Main Road, just outside Tulum’s city center. Av. Tulum entre Saturno y Luna, Tulum Centro, 77760 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico
