Description
There are some meals that become more than just food—they turn into an obsession. That’s exactly what happened with the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito from Izzio Bakery inside the Denver Central Market. For a while, when I lived in Denver, this burrito was a weekly must-have. So, when I found myself with a long layover in Denver on my way home for the holidays, I did what any dedicated foodie would do—I jumped on the train from the airport to Union Station, walked straight over to Izzio, and reunited with my favorite breakfast burrito. How do you know you’re a regular? When the staff hasn’t seen you in over nine months and immediately stops what they’re doing to ask, “Where have you been?” That’s the kind of welcome that makes a place feel like home. Of course, in true One Bite Foodie fashion, I got a little sidetracked. On my way to Izzio, I made a quick stop at Dochi Donuts for another review (which, naturally, took longer than expected). Before I knew it, I was rushing to film this video before heading back to the airport. But even in a hurry, Izzio’s burrito never disappoints. Why This Burrito Is So Good Izzio’s Chorizo Breakfast Burrito is all about fresh, well-balanced textures: A large flour tortilla that’s soft, but holds everything together perfectly. Light, moist, and fluffy eggs that create a perfect base for all the flavors. Chorizo that’s almost like ground beef—rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. Crispy, seasoned potatoes that add a crunchy contrast but stay soft on the inside. Pico de gallo salsa that’s not overpowering, but brings a fresh kick from onions and jalapeños. Thick, shredded cheddar cheese, added at the last second, so you still get that cold, distinct cheese texture with every bite. Every single time, this burrito delivers. It’s fresh, perfectly made, and packed with flavor. Pro Tips to Make It Even Better 1️⃣ Ask them to grill it. This adds a crisp, charred layer to the tortilla that takes it to the next level. 2️⃣ Order it to go, even if you’re dining in. The burrito is huge, and if they don’t wrap it in foil, it falls apart on your plate. I love this burrito so much that when my mom visited Denver, this was the first place I took her. It’s that good. The Verdict? 8.8 out of 10 If you ever find yourself in Denver, do yourself a favor—head to Izzio Bakery inside Denver Central Market and grab the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. You won’t regret it! 📍 Izzio Bakery – Denver Central Market 📍 2669 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205 Let me know if you’ve tried it, or if you have your own Denver breakfast spot I should check out! #OneBiteFoodie #FoodReview #DenverEats #IzzioBakery #BreakfastBurrito #FoodieFinds #HiddenGems #EatLocal #ChorizoBurrito #MileHighEats #FoodieAdventures
